SCOTTISH SHORTBREAD 
2 c. REAL butter, softened
4 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add flour and mix well. Press into 18" x 11" cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cut in small rectangles immediately out of oven.
