SALAMI COOKIES 
3 c. ground walnuts
1 c. powdered sugar
3 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. sliced almonds
1 egg
Dash of cinnamon
Dash of cloves
Rind from 1 lemon

Melt chocolate either on a stove or in a microwave. Add ground nuts (walnuts) and begin working the dough. Add powdered sugar, almonds, spices and rind and work well for 2 to 3 minutes and then work in the raw egg.

Pour some additional powdered sugar on your bread board. Scoop out the batter and place it on the bread board continually rolling it in shape of a log. Place the sugar coated log on a piece of foil and wrap it up and put in freezer.

When ready to serve, remove from freezer and slice with a knife in slices 1/8 inch thick. Thereafter it is not necessary to refrigerate but better if kept cool. Wonderful!

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
