CHINESE CHEWS 
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. walnuts
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. pastry flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix all dry ingredients together, add dates, nuts, then eggs beaten lightly. Bake in as thin a sheet as can be spared.

When done, cut in squares and serve or cut in squares and roll in balls then roll in granulated sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
