EASTER BISCUITS 
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. mixed spices
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. (or more) currants
2 eggs, beaten

Sift four, baking powder, mixed spices and cinnamon into a bowl; add butter. cut into small pieces; rub in with fingers until mixture resembles fine bread crumbs. Stir in sugar and currants. Add eggs; mix to form stiff dough.

Roll out on a lightly floured board to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut in rounds with a 3 1/2 inch fluted cutter. Place on greased baking sheets. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire rack.
