GOOD PIE DOUGH 
3 c. flour
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. more or less cold tap water

I use milk instead of water - makes a browner crust. Be sure to keep flour and shortening at room temperature. With pie blender work flour and shortening to fine corn meal. Use fork when you add liquid. Do not use hands any more than possible for flaky dough. I use Gold Medal Flour.
