GREEN TOMATO PICKLES 
2 gal. green tomatoes
1 gal. water
1/4 c. salt

Boil syrup of: 3 c. vinegar 1 c. water 2 tbsp. mustard seed 1 tbsp. mixed pickling spices 1 tbsp. celery seed 1 tsp. turmeric

2 gallons sliced green tomatoes, soak overnight in 1 gallon water and 1/4 cup salt; drain. Boil syrup of 4 cups sugar, 3 cups vinegar, 1 cup water, 2 tablespoons mustard seed, 1 tablespoon celery seed, 1 tablespoon mixed pickling spice and 1 teaspoon turmeric.
