ALPINE CASSEROLE 
4 or 5 slices salt pork
3 med. onions, sliced
2 green peppers, cubed
2 lbs. stew beef
3 carrots, sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 to 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
1 qt. tomatoes

Brown salt pork. Add onions and green peppers to pork fat and brown. Remove. Brown stew beef. In a bean pot arrange beef, onions, peppers and carrots in layers. Season with salt and pepper and poultry seasoning. Pour in tomatoes. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 3 hours or until meat is tender. Serve over noodles.
