BUCKEYE BALLS 
1 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (16 oz.) pkg. confectioners sugar
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semisweet chocolate pieces
2 tbsp. shortening

Mix peanut butter, butter, vanilla and sugar with hands to form smooth dough. Shape into balls, place on wax paper and refrigerate. In top of double boiler over simmering water melt chocolate and shortening. Dip balls with toothpick 3/4 top showing. Keep in refrigerator.
