GOLDEN APPLE STREUSEL PIE 
1 (9") pastry pie shell
1 egg, separated
1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. half & half sour cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. peeled, cored & chopped Delicious apples

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Brush pastry shell with beaten egg white and bake 7 minutes.

3. In a large bowl combine sugar, flour and salt and stir in half and half sour cream and remainder of egg white and egg yolk and vanilla; beat until smooth. Stir in apples, spoon into pastry shell and bake 45 minutes. Sprinkle with streusel topping and bake an additional 15 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean. Serve warm or chilled.

STREUSEL TOPPING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. butter

In small bowl combine first 3 ingredients, cut in butter and mix well until crumbly.
