1 c. butter, room temperature
2 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream well butter, sugar and eggs. Add vanilla. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Mix both mixtures together, chill. Roll 1/8 inch thick, cut and decorate if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until just golden brown.
