CHRISTMAS SUGAR COOKIES 
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. butter
1 egg, well beaten
1 tbsp. milk or cream
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together dry ingredients. Cream butter, sugar, milk, egg and vanilla together. Add dry ingredients gradually until dough is stiff. Chill at least 1 hour. Roll out on floured surface. Cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes on greased cookie sheet. Cool and decorate or ice. Makes approximately 50 to 60 small cookies.
