1 1/2 c. butter
2 3/4 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar

Work butter until it looks like thick cream. Sift flour and sugar. Add to butter gradually. The more this is beaten, the better. Spoon into a 9 x 13 inch cake pan. The batter will be thin when spread out. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes or until cake pulls away from pan. It may be sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon when taken from oven.
