2 c. instant powdered milk
1 c. honey
2 c. peanut butter
2 drops food coloring (optional)

Knead together. If sticky, add more powdered milk. Kids love to make things with this. Give them a cookie cutter, etc. and they can eat their dough when they are done.

For a rainy day project, let older kids make their own checker pieces and play checkers.
