PEACH KUCHEN | |
2 c. sifted flour 1 c. sugar 12 peach halves 2 egg yolks 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. butter 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. heavy or sour cream Start oven at 400 degrees or hot. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and 2 tablespoons of sugar together. Work in butter until mixture looks like corn meal. Pile it in 8 inch ungreased square pan and pat an even layer over bottom and half way up sides with hands. Place peach halves over pastry (drain canned or frozen). Sprinkle mixture of cinnamon and remaining sugar over and bake for 15 minutes. Now mix egg yolks and cream and pour over peaches. Bake for 30 minutes more. |
