BAKED HALIBUT
In an oven-proof baking dish, place slices of onion on the bottom, then slices of butter on top of the onion. Next, place halibut chunks about 1 inch thick on top of the butter. Spread a heavy coat of mayonnaise on the halibut and top with slices of butter. Sprinkle dill weed and paprika on the mayonnaise and butter. Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Take it out and let it sit for 5 minutes to finish cooking.

Looked for easy recipe, found this one - OMG!!!! It's the best tasting halibut I've had in my life, everyone agrees. You owe it to yourself to at least try this one - and a good white wine with it doesn't hurt! FANTASTIC!

I have a great source for fresh halibut and have tried many recipes -- this one is the best, the very best. I used some left over butter that had garlic and I'm not sure what other herbs. It was cooked in my steam oven and I could hardly stop eating it. Yum, yum!
