Sliced raw potatoes, onions, green peppers, celery and mushrooms Sliced raw bacon 1 lb. lean hamburger 1/2 c. uncooked rice 1 (No. 2 1/2) can tomatoes Using a large casserole dish, place a layer of potatoes on bottom. Next, layer the onions. Spread all of hamburger over onions and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle raw rice over hamburger, then the tomatoes, followed by green peppers, celery and mushrooms. Lay slices of raw bacon on top. Add enough cold water to come to the top of ingredients. Cover; bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours. |
