2 c. raw potatoes, chopped 1-2 stalks celery, chopped 2 1/2 c. water 1 pkg. frozen corn 3/4 c. onion, chopped 2 1/2 tsp. salt (optional) 1-2 carrots, chopped Cook for 15 minutes. SAUCE: 4 tbsp. Mazola oil 2 c. milk 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1 1/2 c. Velveeta cheese 1 can crushed tomatoes (Contadina) 4 tbsp. flour 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 1/2 tsp. A-1 steak sauce 1 tbsp. parsley Add blended sauce to the vegetables until thickened and simmered. Cheese tends to stick to the pot. Excellent to make a day ahead as it will get thicker. |
