TEXAS DRY RUBS 
Sweet-As-A-Yellow-Rose Rub:

1 c. light brown sugar
1/4 c. salt
2 tbsp. ground black pepper
2 tbsp. chili powder
2 tbsp. onion powder
1 tbsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. dried thyme leaves

Yield: 2 cups.

Rio Grande Tejano Rub:

2 tbsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. lemon pepper
2 tbsp. onion powder

Yield: 1 1/2 cups.

Hotter-Than-Houston Pepper Rub:

1/2 c. paprika
1/4 c. chili powder
1/4 c. salt
1/4 c. minced garlic
1 1/2 tbsp. cayenne pepper

Yield: 1 1/4 cups.
