CREAM CHEESE CHRISTMAS BREAD 
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
1 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1 c. finely chopped candied fruit
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Grease a 10 inch loaf pan. Sprinkle with the finely chopped nuts, set aside.

Beat together cream cheese and butter until fluffy. Add sugar and vanilla; beat. Add eggs (1 at a time) beating well after each addition.

Combine flour and baking powder to creamed mixture. Stir in candied fruit and chopped nuts. Spoon batter into prepared pan. DO NOT POUR IN THE PREPARED PAN. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour 20 minutes, or until done. Cool 5 minutes before removing from the pan. Freezes well.

This bread is delicious. I used pecans and candied cherries. I did have an issue with it running over, but it still tastes fine. Next time, I wouldn't put the chopped nuts in the bottom of the pan. I don't think they add anything to the recipe. Overall, I really like this recipe.
