HAMBURG VEGETABLE SOUP | |
1 1/2 lb. ground beef 6 c. water (can substitute tomato juices for part of this) 3 beef bouillon cubes 2 c. sliced carrots 1 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 1/3 c. barley 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. dried parsley 2 bay leaves 1/4 c. catsup 28 oz. can tomatoes, undrained, cut up 8 oz. can tomato sauce Brown ground beef, drain. Stir in remaining ingredients. Reduce heat, cover. Simmer 1 hour or longer. Remove bay leaves. |
