SLOW COOKER STEW 
1 1/2 lbs. stew beef meat
1 lg. onion, chopped
4 carrots, scraped and cut in bite sizes
2 ribs celery, cut into bite size pieces
4 med. potatoes, peeled and cut into bites
1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes (undrained)
1 1/2 c. coffee, perked or instant
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. parsley flakes
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. quick cooking tapioca

Brown beef cubes in pot on range. Transfer beef cubes to slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients, stirring to blend. Cover and cook on slow for 8 hours or until meat is tender.

Excellent recipe. Would make it again. Broth was very tasty. Would start on MEDIUM heat for an hour or so and then drop to LOW setting. 2 hours before, the veggies were not cooked and had to put on HIGH to finish off.
