SAUSAGE & SAUERKRAUT 
1 can sauerkraut, chopped, drain & rinse in cold water
Sausage or hot dogs
1 tbsp. bacon grease
1/2 tsp. sugar
Water, if needed

Put sauerkraut in saucepan, add 1/2 to 3/4 cup water. Add bacon grease, sugar and cook 30 minutes. Add sausage or hot dogs on top and continue cooking about 15 minutes. Serve with biscuits or corn bread. Can cook a couple small potatoes with sauerkraut. Very good with chilled tomatoes as a salad.
