TACO BAKE CASSEROLE 
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 1/2 c. chopped onion
15 oz. kidney beans, drain
2 tsp. chili powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 med. tomatoes, chopped
15 oz. tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. pepper
4 oz. chopped chili peppers, optional
2 c. grated cheese
1/2 sm. head lettuce
1 (4 oz.) pkg. taco shells

Cook beef slowly until red is out. Add onion, chili pepper and other ingredients; except cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. Mix thoroughly. Break taco shells and arrange in bottom of 9 x 13 inch dish. Spoon meat mixture over tacos. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Top with lettuce and tomatoes.
