CHOCOLATE MINT COOKIES | |
1 1/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 2/3 c. packed brown sugar 6 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. water 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 egg 1/2-3/4 lb. Fanny Farmer pastel Cream Mint Kisses Stir flour and baking soda together and set aside. Heat brown sugar, butter and water together, stir until butter melts. Add chocolate chips, stir and heat until chocolate melts. Let mixture cool 10 to 15 minutes. Beat the 1 egg into chocolate mixture. Stir in the flour and mix well. Cover and chill 1 to 2 hours. Use hands to roll dough into 1" balls and place balls 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove pan and top each cookie with a mint. Return to oven and bake 2 more minutes. Remove from oven and spread the mint like frosting. Remove cookie from pan and cool. |
