PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter (or 1/2 Crisco & 1/2 butter)
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, well beaten

Cream butter and sugar; add peanut butter and cream (mix) well. Add egg, then flour and dry ingredients (which have been sifted). Chill the dough wrapped in wax paper. Form into little balls and press out with fork which has been dipped in a little sugar. Bake in oven about 350 to 375 degrees until light brown.

NOTE: Sift the flour first, then add the baking soda and baking powder and sift again.
