BEAN AND SAUSAGE CHOWDER | |
1 (at least 16 oz.) can pinto beans 1/2 lb. sausage 1 1/2 c. canned tomatoes 1 sm. onion, chopped 1/2 c. potatoes, diced 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped 2 c. water 1 bay leaf (opt.) 3/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. thyme 1/4 tsp. garlic salt 1/8 tsp. black pepper Brown sausage; add other ingredients. Simmer about 1 1/2 hours. Can be made with pot of fresh cooked pinto beans and increased amounts of ingredients to suit taste. |
