BEEF STIR FRY 
1 lb. boneless beef
1/3 c. water
1/4 c. soy sauce
2 tbsp. dry red wine
1 tbsp. molasses or honey
4 tsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. cooking oil
3 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
1 c. green onions, sliced
Hot cooked rice

Thinly slice beef into bite size strips. For marinade, combine water, soy sauce, wine, molasses. Stir into cornstarch. Place beef into marinade. Let stand for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain meat, reserve marinade. Preheat skillet, add oil. Add mushrooms and onions; stir fry 2 minutes. Remove mushrooms and onions. Add half of the meat; stir fry 2 to 3 minutes. Remove meat. Stir fry remaining meat. Return all meat to skillet, add marinade. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Add vegetables; cover and cook 2 minutes. Serve meat mixture over hot cooked rice. Makes 4 servings.
