FRIED CABBAGE 
1 lb. bacon
1 good sized cabbage
2 to 3 potatoes

Core cabbage, cut and then slice. Cut up bacon and fry until crisp. Add cabbage, cover and fry until done about 3/4 of the way. Pare potatoes, dice them, and put them on top of the cabbage. Cover and let cook again for about 10 minutes. Stir and continue cooking until the potatoes are done, and cabbage browned. If dry, add about 1/2 cup of water.
