BAKED CHICKEN 
1 (3 lb.) frying chicken, cut up
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. prepared biscuit mix (Bisquick)
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. pepper

Melt shortening in large shallow pan. Put remaining ingredients except chicken into paper bag. Add chicken and shake. Place chicken skin side down in pan with melted shortening. Bake 45 minutes at 425 degrees. Turn and continue to bake 15 minutes longer. 6 servings.
