LEMON PILAF | |
1 c. sliced celery 1 c. green onion with tops, sliced 2 tbsp. butter 3 c. cooked rice 1 tbsp. lemon peel, grated 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper Saute celery and onions in butter until tender. Add rice, lemon peel, and seasonings, toss lightly. Continue cooking over low heat about 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally. Serve with broiled chicken, baked or broiled fish. Good with any of the following condiments added; raisins, chutney, sliced almonds, toasted coconut or crisp, crumbled bacon. Great without condiments, too. |
