FUNNEL CAKE 
4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
4 eggs
2 c. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
Oil for deep fat frying

Sift together the flour, salt, and baking powder. In a separate bowl, mix eggs, milk, and vanilla. Beating to form a smooth batter, add dry ingredients to the liquid ones. Add more water if necessary to make batter thin enough to run through a funnel.

Preheat oil to 375 degrees. Holding your finger over the small end of a funnel, pour in some batter. Removing your finger and starting at the center of the pan, drop batter into 375 degree oil in any design. Fry until golden brown; flop over and continue cooking until second side is golden. Remove from oil and drain on paper toweling. Sprinkle with powdered or cinnamon sugar.
