1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
5 egg whites
3 c. plain flour
1 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Add milk and flour alternately. Add vanilla and beaten egg whites. Fill pans and cook until done.

ICING:

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1 c. raisins, chopped
5 egg yolks
1 c. chopped pecans

Mix butter, sugar, egg yolks together. Cook until thick in double boiler. Add chopped nuts and raisins. Add vanilla. Can add rum or brandy flavoring.
