LAYERED LETTUCE SALAD 
1 head lettuce
1 c. celery, diced
4 hard cooked eggs, sliced
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, uncooked
1/2 c. green pepper, diced
1 med. sweet onion, diced
8 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
2 c. Miracle Whip salad dressing
2 tbsp. sugar
4 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated

Tear clean lettuce into bite size pieces and cover bottom of 9x13 inch pan or large salad bowl. On top of the lettuce, spread in layers, in order, celery, eggs, peas, green pepper, onion and bacon.

Combine Miracle Whip and sugar. Spread on top of layered ingredients as you would frosting. Top with grated cheese. Cover and refrigerate for 8 to 10 hours or overnight. Garnish with parsley and extra bacon if desired.
