MEXICAN LASAGNE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 pkg. dry taco seasoning mix
1 (16 oz.) can kidney or chili beans
1 pt. chopped tomatoes
1 (16 oz.) jar Picante sauce or salsa
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
2 to 3 c. crushed tortilla chips

This can be prepared in the microwave or oven. The sauce can be prepared, then reheated to layer the ingredients. This recipe is also good served as a dip.

In microwave or stove top saute beef, adding the seasoning, sauce, tomatoes, and beans. Heat thoroughly. In iron skillet or baking dish place 1/2 of the crushed chips, then the meat mixture, followed with cheese. Repeat these layers. Bake until cheese melts and recipe is bubbly.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
