LEMON LOAF 
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Rind of 1 lemon
1/4 c. sugar
Juice of 1 lemon

Cream together Crisco and 1 cup sugar and eggs. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Add rind of lemon. Mix together 1/4 cup sugar and lemon juice. Pour over loaf as soon as it comes out of the oven. Let cool in pan. Bake about 1 hour at 350 degrees.
