CRUMB PIE - YODER TRADITION 
PIE MIXTURE:

1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 beaten egg
2 c. water
1-2 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt
1/2 - 1 tbsp. butter
2 unbaked pie shells

CRUMB MIXTURE:

1 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Mix sugars, flour, egg and water in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Add the vanilla, salt and butter. Divide into the 2 pie shells.

Mix together all the ingredients for the crumb mixture. Divide and spread on top of pie mixture. Bake 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Serve with whipped cream.
