YANKEE POT ROAST 
1 (3 to 4 lb.) rump roast
Salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place roast in covered roasting pan. Salt and pepper roast. Cover and place in oven for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. The roast will make its own juices. Near the end of the cooking time check and make sure juices have not cooked away. Add 1 to 2 cups of water if the juices are low.
