CRISPIX MUNCH | |
1 c. sliced almonds 1/2 c. butter 2/3 c. sugar 1/4 c. corn syrup 1/3 c. water 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. almond flavoring 3 c. Crispix cereal 1 c. Cheerios 1. Foil line a 17x14 inch cookie sheet. Lightly butter and set aside. 2. In heavy 12 inch fry pan, over medium heat, cook almonds, butter, sugar, corn syrup and water, stirring constantly, until mixture starts to boil. Cook and stir about 12 minutes longer or until almonds start to brown. Remove from heat. 3. Carefully stir vanilla and almond flavoring into the hot mixture. Add cereal and gently stir to coat. Spread mixture onto prepared cookie sheet. Cool completely; break into pieces. Makes 7 cups. Store in airtight container. |
