EASY SKILLET SUPPER | |
2 strips bacon 1 lb. ground beef 2 lg. onions, sliced 2 med. potatoes, peeled 1 green pepper 4 tbsp. soy sauce 2 c. shredded cabbage 1 c. celery 2 med. tomatoes, peeled and quartered or 1 c. canned tomatoes Cut bacon into 1/2 inch pieces, place in skillet and pan fry until crisp. Add ground beef and onion slices; cook until meat is brown and onion is tender. Cut potatoes and green pepper in julienne strips; reserve. Stir soy sauce and water into mixture. Add prepared vegetables; mix thoroughly. Cover and cook over high flame until steam escapes, then turn to simmer and cook 15 minutes. Serves 4. |
