LAYERED MEAT CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 lg. onion, sliced or chopped coarsely
5 med. potatoes, peeled & diced
1 can tomato soup
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 c. hot water

Layer half of beef, onion, potatoes and soup in that order, adding salt and pepper after each layer. Repeat with remaining beef, onion, potatoes and soup. Pour hot water over all. Bake at 300 degrees 2 hours, covered until last 20 minutes. Serves 6.
