NORWEGIAN APPLE BREAD 
1 bag apples (Granny Smith)
Sugar - 1 to 1 mixture start with 1/2 c. sugar to cinnamon
1 container cinnamon
1 box white raisins
1 box Zwiebach crackers, crushed
1 c. apple juice

Peel, core and slice apples into chunks. Butter dish. Place thin layer of apples on bottom of dish. Sprinkle crushed cracker crumbs and cinnamon sugar mixture over apples and crumbs. Sprinkle raisins next. Continue layering apples, crumbs, cinnamon sugar, raisins. Pour apple juice over mixture. Place last layer on top. Serve hot. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 2 tablespoons butter on top. Cover with tin foil. Cook 35 to 50 minutes. Check tenderness of apples. Serve with ice cream. If serving cold serve with whipped cream.
