GINGER SNAPS 
1 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. Brer Rabbit syrup
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream together. Mix 2 tablespoons warm water and 2 teaspoons soda and add to above. Also add 4 cups flour, 1 tablespoons ginger and 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Roll thin, cut in cookie shapes and bake 10 minutes in 350 degree oven.
