CHEESY SAUSAGE CHOWDER | |
14 1/2 oz. can chicken broth 3/4 c. water 2 c. chopped potatoes 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables 1/4 c. chopped onion 1 lb. bulk sausage 3 tbsp. butter 1/4 c. flour 3 c. milk 2 c. shredded American cheese Simmer vegetables in broth and water in a covered Dutch oven for 10 minutes or until tender. Brown sausage and drain. Add flour to half of milk in a large shaker and mix well. Add with milk and butter to the vegetable mix; stir and heat until thickened. Add sausage and cheese. Heat and stir until melted. |
