LEMON TEA BREAD 
9 x 5 x 3 greased and floured bread pan
6 tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1 lemon (grated rind)

Cream shortening, add sugar and eggs. Add flour, salt, baking powder and milk. Stir in lemon rind. Pour into pan. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Remove from oven when done. Poke holes on top with toothpick and pour lemon sugar mix on top.

TOP:

Juice of lemon)
(1/3 c. sugar)

Pour on as soon as bread is taken from oven.
