PICKLED PEPPERS 
3 c. sugar
1 qt. vinegar
1 qt. water
Sweet or hot peppers

Cut peppers in half. Cover with cold water. Boil 5 minutes. Pack in jars. Boil vinegar mixture. Pour over peppers packed in jars. Add 2 teaspoons oil and 1 teaspoon salt to each quart of peppers.
