CRYSTAL LOLLIPOPS 
2 c. sugar
1 c. white corn syrup
1/2 c. water
Red or green food color
Lg. sandwich-type toothpicks
Oil of peppermint, cinnamon or spearmint

Arrange toothpicks about 4 inches apart on cookie sheet buttered lightly and turned upside down. Combine sugar, corn syrup and water and cook over medium heat until hard crack stage, 300 degrees on candy thermometer. Do not stir. Quickly add oil of cinnamon, 2 or 3 drops and 2 to 3 drops of red food color for red lollipops. Drop by spoonful on each large toothpick. They harden in several minutes. If mixture in pan hardens before you are finished, return to heat.
