SHRIMP AND RICE 
1 1/2 c. long grain rice
2 c. cold water
1 1/2 lbs. lg. shrimp
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 garlic bud, chopped
1/4 lb. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. seafood seasoning

Wash rice in cold water. Using a large saucepan, put in the 2 cups of cold water. Add rice, celery, onion, garlic. Butter should be added and then ingredients should be allowed to boil. Drop heat and simmer.

Wash shrimp and peel off shell using cold water. Cut shrimp in halves. Drop in pot with seasoning. Stir and cover. Continue to cook until rice is done.
