HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD | |
2 1/2 lbs. potatoes or 3 can sliced new potatoes 1 med. onion, diced fine 2 green onions & part of green stem, diced fine 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 2 tbsp. vinegar 1/2 lb. bacon, sliced 1 tbsp. bacon fat 1 c. mayonnaise 1/2 c. sour cream Boil, peel and slice cooked potatoes or drain canned potatoes. Place in baking dish. Cut bacon in 1 inch strips and fry until well done. Drain bacon, add to potatoes with 1 tablespoon bacon fat. Add all the ingredients above and mix well. Cover baking dish with lid and bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. |
