BUTTERFLY RING 
2 1/2 c. biscuit mix
1 tbsp. sugar
1 egg, well beaten
2/3 c. milk
2 tbsp. melted butter
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. flour
1/4 c. chopped candied cherries
3/4 c. chopped nutmeats

Mix first four ingredients together. Knead about 18 strokes. Roll into rectangle 11 x 14 inch. Brush with butter. Stir remaining ingredients together and spread on dough. Roll up jelly roll fashion, pinching edges to seal seam. Place on cookie sheet, seam side down, joining ends to form ring. With scissors, cut through ring, almost to center in 2 inch slices. mark indentation in center of each slice. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Frost with confectioners' sugar frosting while warm. Trim with cherries and nutmeats.
