CHICKEN BROCCOLI PIE | |
1 (17 1/4 oz.) pkg. frozen puff pastry 2 whole lg. chicken breasts 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli 6 oz. shredded cheese (1 1/2 c.) 1 1/2 tsp. grated onion 1 egg, beaten Cook chicken in 1 inch of water for 15-20 minutes. Prepare frozen broccoli as label directs. Drain and remove bones and skin from chicken. Chop into small pieces. Combine with broccoli, cheese, onion and salt to taste. Make crust according to package. Spoon mixture into crust leaving 1 inch border all around. Place top pastry and firmly press edges. Cut 3 small holes in top of pastry. Brush top of pastry with beaten egg. Bake in a preheated oven at 425 for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting. Makes 6 servings at about 525 calories per serving. Pastry shell should be 12 inch. |
